Product Range
Timber Flooring Adhesives
Ultrabond Eco S955 1K — One-component, solvent-free, silylated polymer adhesive for solid and engineered timber floors. Hard-elastic bonding absorbs timber movement without cracking. Available in 15kg bucket plus 600ml sausage format.
Ultrabond Eco V4SP — Universal adhesive for vinyl, LVT, rubber, and PVC flooring. Solvent-free with very low VOC emissions. 16kg bucket.
Primers
Eco Prim Grip — Ready-to-use bond-promoting primer for non-absorbent and smooth substrates. Creates a high-grip surface for levelling compounds and adhesives. Essential when applying self-levellers over existing tiles, vinyl, or sealed concrete.
Self-Levelling Compounds
Ultraplan Renovation — Flexible, fibre-reinforced self-levelling compound for timber floor substrates. Designed for renovation work where movement and cracking are concerns. Can be applied from 3mm to 40mm thickness in a single pour. 20kg bag.
Why Mapei?
Global leader with 85+ years of R&D. Products are formulated specifically for Australian conditions and tested to local standards. Low-VOC and solvent-free formulations across the range.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Ultrabond S955 and V4SP?
S955 is a silylated polymer adhesive specifically designed for timber flooring — it provides a hard-elastic bond that accommodates timber expansion and contraction. V4SP is a universal adhesive primarily designed for resilient flooring (vinyl, LVT, rubber). Use S955 for solid and engineered timber; use V4SP for vinyl and LVT installations.
Do I need Eco Prim Grip before self-levelling?
Yes, on non-absorbent substrates such as existing tiles, vinyl, sealed concrete, or painted surfaces. Eco Prim Grip creates a mechanical key for the levelling compound to bond to. On bare, absorbent concrete, a different primer may be more appropriate — check the Ultraplan technical data sheet.
How thick can Ultraplan Renovation be applied?
3mm to 40mm in a single application. For thicknesses over 40mm, apply in multiple layers allowing each layer to cure. The fibre reinforcement provides crack resistance even at thinner applications.
Is the Ultrabond S955 sausage the same product as the bucket?
Yes, identical formulation. The 600ml sausage is included for detail work, edges, and small repairs where the 15kg bucket would be impractical. Use with a standard sausage gun.
