Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I use WOCA Natural Soap?
For residential floors, once per week or as needed. Dilute the soap in lukewarm water according to the label, mop the floor, and allow to dry. The soap cleans and nourishes the timber in one step — no rinsing required. Regular soap treatment extends the life of oiled floors significantly.
What is the difference between Natural and White soap?
Natural soap maintains the original timber colour. White soap contains white pigment that gradually builds up with use, keeping white-oiled and light-coloured floors looking fresh and bright. Use Natural on natural and dark-oiled floors; use White on white-oiled and limed floors.
Can WOCA Exterior Oil be used in full sun?
Yes. WOCA Exterior Oil is formulated with UV stabilisers for Australian conditions. However, all exterior timber will weather over time regardless of treatment. Reapply annually on horizontal surfaces (decks, furniture) and every 2-3 years on vertical surfaces (cladding, fences) for best results.
Is WOCA suitable for bamboo and cork floors?
WOCA maintenance products (soap, oil refresher) are suitable for oiled bamboo and cork surfaces. However, check with the flooring manufacturer before applying WOCA oil treatment products to these materials — some bamboo and cork products have factory-applied finishes that are not compatible with oil treatment.
